The single-pass reverse osmosis is a process in which raw water passes through a pretreatment system and a precision filter, and then is sent into a reverse osmosis device through a high-pressure pump, also known as single-stage RO system.
Double-pass reverse osmosis in the water treatment industry is also called two-stage reverse osmosis. The difference between double-pass reverse osmosis and single-pass reverse osmosis lies in the total number of reverse osmosis membranes.
