The feed water is first pre-treated through a multimedia pre-filter to remove odor, color, chlorine, and hardness. The pre-treated water is then delivered to the RO system. A high-pressure pump pressurizes the water so that clean water flows from the low-pressure end of the RO membrane, further removing salts, minerals, and other impurities.
